Just ran across this little treasure from years gone by [circa 1998].
A personal letter from Ron Morehead following an expedition I led, with Ron and Peter Byrne as part of my team.
Dubbed “Operation: Entice Contact II,” it was conducted on the southern flank of Saddle Mountain, not far from my 1993 encounter.
New technologies and strategies were employed (i.e. seismic ground sensors, a high-tech heated bait station designed by Joe Beelart, a biopsy dart-gun provided by the North American Science Institute, etc.).
Ron flew his Cessna Bushmaster plane there, hoping to use it for aerial surveillance, but the weather didn’t cooperate.
All in all, it was an amazing adventure filled with wonderful memories.
